Be Your Kind of Beauty
"Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself." Coco Chanel
The book of Ecclesiastes, chapter 3 verse 1, clearly says there is always a purpose in this life under heaven.
The world defines beauty according to the color of the skin, popularity, social status, race, figure and shape of the body, jewelry, and a lot more. These are the things that categorize one's beauty.

Aesthetics surgery, body contouring, makeups, fashion, use of beauty products were invented by people to change the original God-given image. But none of these ever gave humanity the most genuine definition of beauty. All these are all vain and non-sense. King Solomon interpreted it as "vanity of all vanities." Humans have not been satisfied and contented at all.
A beautiful face can undergo several treatments to make it more pleasing, but nothing can ever hide a sorrowful heart. Body figures can go under the needle through body contouring procedures, but no medical operation can give a man a clear and pure conscience. At the end of the day, when you face the mirror with just you, nakedly, that's the real you—the total score.
The Icons
Many people have become icons, faces, or a pattern and reference searching for real beauty. Around the globe, people run after beauty and fame. But what makes one beautiful? Is it the tone of her skin? Is it the race that she belongs? Culture? The shade of her cosmetic that she puts on her face? What should a Christian say about beauty? How we, Christians should relate to this trend?
As the child of God, whose lives are dedicated and faithfully obeying His word, we need to be reminded at all times of the warnings and teachings of all the Apostle who risked their lives for the gospel. As an example to this, Apostle Paul wrote in the book of Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what that good is, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
"Be your own beauty"
There is no need for us, children of God, to imitate, fit into this world's fashion trend, or even agree to every idea of the people behind cameras and media. We Christians need to stand out. We always need to raise the flag of heaven, showing this world that we are heaven-bound; we are citizens of His kingdom. Ephesians 2:19 says, "Now, therefore, ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;."
We gotta let the world see what is that fundamental transformation according to the will of God. To always know that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by the One who sits higher than anyone. That One who can defy science. The One who is the author and the giver of all the wisdom and knowledge and instruction. The One who sees you from the heart even if this world tells you you are the most "out of fashion" person in the whole world.
Be the kind of beauty that turns all heads wondering why we dress this way.
Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself – know your identity, know your self-worth, and know your purpose in life why God saved you after all.. The teaching of Jesus is we need to be Salt & Light for this world. The book of Matthew chapter 5 says "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house… And for this being like this is the only way that we can show the world what beauty really is.."
As a Salt, don't ever lose your identity as sons and daughters of God.
A Christian without modesty is like a salt that has lost its savor. Let us not wear off that identity that has been given to us on that specific day when we decided to express the image of God with the way we dress.
As a Light in this world, the kind of conviction gives that light to their question. The search for an answer to the question of "what does it take for a Christian to endure uncomfortable clothing" should be over the moment we show them we are not just dressing this way because we have to. We dress this way because we are converted, convicted, and convinced to cover and wrap our bodies this way.
It is our duty as Christians to always bear that identity and image of modesty and godliness. We are the salt in this world because we preserve our bodies to honor the One who gives life.
We serve as the light in this world; by the way, we live in modesty and godliness to let everyman know the message that there is life in obedience.
